The best way to prepare food is from the part of the chicken where it is with bones and skin. This food isn't too spicy. The key to the beautiful, crispy surface is hidden in a thick coat of Tandoori marinade.

Preparation time: 10 minutes, cooking time: 35-40 minutes, total time: 50-60 minutes

Recipe for: 7 person

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 kg Chicken (cut into 4-8 pieces)
  • 140 ml Lemon juice
  • 3 tbsp Salt
  • 125 g Yoghurt (whipped)
  • 1 tbsp TRS Minced Ginger paste
  • 1 tbsp TRS Minced Garlic paste
  • 3 tbsp Oil/ghee
  • 50g TRS Tandoori Masala mix

Directions

  1. Make straight cuts on the chicken pieces. Squeeze over TRS lemon juice and sprinkle a little salt and leave for one hour.
  2. Combine the TRS Tandoori Masala mix, yoghurt, ginger and garlic to create a paste and spread it on the chicken pieces. Marinate for at least 1 hour.
  3. Preheat the oven at 180”C.
  4. Grease a tray with oil/ghee and place the chicken pieces on it.
  5. Bake for 35 to 45 minutes.
  6. Once the chicken is roasted partly, turn on the grill for 5 minutes and grill the chicken until ready.

That’s it! Your Tandoori Masala is ready. Serve hot with naan, salt and raita.
